Mathematics and Technology Program

1. Math: Vietnamese Math Program: BMS Hung Yen high school students study the basic Math curriculum of the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training, as well as the enhanced BMS Math program designed for students with exceptional mathematical thinking abilities and students preparing for university entrance exams in science-related majors.  

2. International Computer Science Program MOS 

BMS Hung Yen high school students follow the international standard computer science program by Microsoft and receive internationally recognized certificates.

+ Access to the latest information technology skills to apply in current studies and future work.


Languages and Social Sciences

Literature: BMS integrates the Literature curriculum prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training with enhanced, advanced, and supplementary teaching content, including literature projects. The enhanced Literature program is designed for students in academic teams, students pursuing the social sciences track, and those preparing for university entrance examinations.

English and International Programs

Advanced Bilingual Program (Program A): The English program aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) enables students to master core knowledge while focusing on the development of four language skills. The program targets a B2 CEFR exit level (equivalent to IELTS 5.5+). 

Talent Bilingual Program (Program T): The Talent Education Program is designed for students with outstanding academic abilities and focuses on the development of advanced knowledge, superior learning skills, and high academic achievement. The program targets a B2+ CEFR exit level (equivalent to IELTS 6.0+). 

Cambridge International Dual Diploma Program (Program I): The Cambridge integrated program at the upper secondary level enables students to build an academic foundation aligned with international standards through subjects taught in English. Students may participate in Cambridge A Level examinations and receive internationally recognized certificates. The program targets a B2+ CEFR exit level (equivalent to IELTS 6.0–6.5). 

History and Geography

Course content is structured into project-based learning units, enabling students to independently plan and explore subject knowledge with the guidance of teachers. Students develop a strong foundation in history, culture, and society. Through project-based learning, they acquire essential 21st-century skills such as collaboration, critical thinking, creativity, and communication skills.

Arts

Ban Mai Upper Secondary students have opportunities to participate in a wide range of arts disciplines through club-based programs, enabling focused development of specialized talents and ensuring that each student masters at least one artistic skill upon graduation. Arts disciplines include Visual Arts (painting, visual creation, design, and appreciation), Music (vocal performance, musical instruments, music appreciation, and dance), and Dance, in accordance with the MOET curriculum and BMS’s enhanced programs.

Movement and Physical Education

Ban Mai Upper Secondary School implements the Physical Education curriculum prescribed by the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training, with enhanced specialized sports such as football and basketball. Since 2023, BMS has implemented the American Be Warrior Physical Education program, which aims to develop balanced physical attributes, diverse skill sets, and resilience, perseverance, and the ability to overcome challenges. Students train with professional equipment, learning tools, and qualified coaches. Program I students study Physical Education in English. 

Skills Development and Career Orientation

- BMS Skills Program: This program helps students develop essential skills to respond to social changes, take ownership of knowledge and actions, and cultivate habits that contribute to future success.

- Financial Literacy and Young Entrepreneurs Development Program (Junior Achievement): This program provides education in financial management, career orientation, and entrepreneurship. The Junior Achievement (JA) program equips students with knowledge of budgeting, saving and investing, responsible use of credit, business planning, financial management, and marketing through real-world workplace experiences. In addition, students develop teamwork and planning skills. The program enables students to evaluate their abilities, interests, and values, make prudent financial decisions, and form clear career orientations.

- Career Orientation Program:  

Ban Mai Upper Secondary students participate in career orientation activities throughout the entire school level. In addition to the career guidance content prescribed by the Vietnamese education system, BMS offers a comprehensive career orientation program including career aptitude assessments, counseling, seminars, competitions, and experiential activities at universities and enterprises. These activities provide students with a holistic view of the future labor market and support informed choices of suitable academic majors.

Natural Sciences

Ban Mai Upper Secondary students conduct experiments in accordance with the MOET curriculum and BMS’s enhanced programs in professionally equipped Chemistry and Physics laboratories. Enhanced subject content is integrated into Program T classes and academic team programs. The school’s Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English, and Information Technology teams consistently achieve high awards in academic competitions at various levels each year. 

The subject Science (taught in English) is offered exclusively to Program I classes.

Extracurricular Programs

A wide range of student activities in terms of types, content, and organizational formats helps students develop essential competencies and personal qualities, enabling them to adapt effectively to societal development. Ban Mai Upper Secondary School places particular emphasis on experiential learning and career orientation activities. Through interdisciplinary learning projects and career-oriented experiences, students develop key competencies for learning and life, such as communication and collaboration, problem-solving and creativity, and career orientation skills. Events organized by BMS carry distinctive themes, and students are encouraged to actively register and participate in organizing school-level events.

After-school Clubs and Summer Camp Programs

After-school Program:  

In addition to the regular curriculum, students may register to participate in After-school Clubs to develop talents or pursue personal interests and passions, including academic clubs (Mathematics, Literature, English), skills development, sports (football, basketball, dance), and arts (design, vocal performance, musical instruments),… 

Summer Camp Program:  

The Summer Camp program is specially designed and organized for different age groups, offering students opportunities to explore themselves and the world. The program is held annually during the summer and includes both domestic and international camps.  

Domestic summer camps provide opportunities for students to experience activities that may not be available during the regular academic year.

International summer camps enable students to experience overseas learning environments, enhance English proficiency and soft skills, engage with academic settings at international schools worldwide, and explore opportunities for international study scholarships in countries such as the United Kingdom, the United States, and Canada.
