Language and Social Sciences

Students study in accordance with the MOET curriculum, ensuring full alignment with the objectives of the 2018 National General Education Program. Upon completion of the lower secondary level at BMS, students are awarded the Lower Secondary School Graduation Certificate issued by the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training.

English and International Programs

Standard Program A: The English program aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) helps students master fundamental knowledge while focusing on the development of four core language skills. The program targets an A2 CEFR exit level. 

Program I: The Cambridge integrated program at the lower secondary level enables students to build a strong academic foundation aligned with international standards through subjects taught in English. Students may participate in the Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint examinations and receive internationally recognized certificates issued by Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE). The program targets a B1 CEFR exit level. 

Program T: The Talent Education Program is designed for students with high academic potential and focuses on the development of advanced knowledge, superior learning skills, and high academic achievement. The program targets a B1 CEFR exit level. 

 

Skills and Thinking Development Programs

- Financial Literacy and Young Entrepreneurs Development Program (Junior Achievement): This program provides education in financial management, career orientation, and entrepreneurship. The Junior Achievement (JA) program equips students with knowledge on setting personal financial goals, building essential foundations of a successful entrepreneur, discovering personal strengths, identifying suitable career paths, and developing career plans. In addition, students develop skills such as teamwork and planning. The program enables students to evaluate their abilities, interests, and values, make prudent financial decisions, and form early career orientations.

- International IC3 & MOS Information Technology Program
BMS students follow the Microsoft international standard Information Technology program and are awarded internationally recognized certifications.

+ Exposure to the latest information technology skills to support current learning and future careers

Enhanced Programs

In addition to the curriculum prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), BMS offers enhanced programs to create opportunities for students to develop their individual strengths, supporting holistic, natural, and balanced development in both intellectual and physical domains.

The enhanced programs include:

- Enhanced Academic Programs: BMS designs advanced academic content integrated into Program T classes and the school’s academic teams. The Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English, History, and Information Technology teams participate in academic competitions at various levels each year and consistently achieve high awards.

- Specialized Physical Education Program (Be Warrior): Be Warrior is an American physical development program aimed at fostering balanced physical attributes and skill sets while cultivating perseverance, resilience, and the ability to overcome challenges. Students train with professional equipment, learning tools, and qualified coaches. Program I students study this subject in English.

Experiential Learning Programs

A wide range of student activities in terms of types, content, and organizational formats helps students develop essential competencies and qualities, enabling them to adapt effectively to societal development. Ban Mai Lower Secondary School places particular emphasis on experiential learning and career orientation activities. Through interdisciplinary learning projects and career-oriented experiences, students develop essential competencies for learning and life, such as communication and collaboration skills, problem-solving and creativity, and career orientation competencies. Events often carry distinctive themes, and students are encouraged to actively register and participate as members of school-level event organizing committees.

After-school Program:

In addition to the regular curriculum, students may register to participate in After-school Clubs to develop talents or pursue personal interests and passions, including academic clubs (Mathematics, Literature, English), skills development, sports (football, basketball, dance), and arts (design, vocal music, musical instruments),…

Summer Camp Program:

The Summer Camp program is specially designed and organized for each age group, offering students opportunities to explore themselves and the world. The program is held annually during the summer and includes both domestic and international camps. 

Domestic summer camps provide opportunities for students to experience activities that may not be available during the regular academic year.

International summer camps enable students to experience overseas learning environments, enhance English proficiency and soft skills, and engage with academic settings at international schools around the world.
